It has been already over a week since I came back from Madrid and I must say, I had the most amazing time there, even though I stayed for 3 days.
I had the immense pleasure to stay at Urban Hotel 5* GL, which is part of the Derby Hotels Collection. If you read my article on Hotel Claris, then you know that Derby Hotels proposes the most beautiful hotels, with a great attention to detail.
My little Willy had the opportunity to come along, the Urban Hotel offering a great Dog & Stay experience. With this note I would love to add the fact that Willy received equally luxury services, having a dog bed, toys and also some yummy treats from Trixie, the leading European dog accessory brand.
A valet service is also available at the hotel and I must say, I absolutely adore the staff. The way they're always so attentive and nice with each hotel guest, it really makes you feel at home and very welcomed.
Other than the 24h room service ( I already miss my little chocolate on the pillow in the evening), the hotel offers 96 design-driven rooms and suites. As at Hotel Claris, the Urban Hotel also showcases a museum hall with rare artefacts from around the world, from where the hotel owner travels.
We stayed in the Suite room, also decorated with some art pieces.
The room is spacious, the bed is big and comfy and I really loved the electric curtains and also, the jacuzzi bathtub. Actually, you have a shower and a bathtub, which is very handy.
And let me tell you about the amazing view this room has. Even though the breakfast at the restaurant is simply splendid, I did had dared to have a breakfast also in the room. Everyone appreciate it, including Willy.
How great was this ?
Coming back to the breakfast in the restaurant, I was already in love with the experience that I had in Hotel Claris so I had no doubts that the breakfast will be just as amazing at Urban Hotel. Great service and outstanding atmosphere.
The food selection was good too.
Maybe the only thing I would add here is the fact that I would have loved to take my dog with us during breakfast, but unfortunately dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, nor in the bar-lounge area.
I do, however, understand the idea behind, as some people would be bothered by the dog's presence or even maybe allergic.
The hotel is located close to the city center and important landmarks. To be more precise, it is located in the heart of the art triangle formed by the El Prado Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and the Reina Sofía National Art Museum.
If you'd like a lovely culinary experience, you can definitely try their restaurant, Cebo. Otherwise, you also have a lot of lovely restaurants close by, like Vaca Argentina( for meat lovers).
All in all, it was a fabulous experience to stay with Urban Hotel and I must admit, the fact that I was able to test drive the Bentley Bentayga Hybrid ( from Bentley Madrid ) added to the trip's luxury feel.
