Hey guys,
How is your day going?
Since I have a spare moment, I thought I should share with you all about my stay at The Lumiares- Boutique Hotel& Spa during my trip in Lisbon. To start with, Lisbon is a very big and crowded city… the small streets are walked everyday by a large amount of people. It’s actually crazy, but I felt as I was outside of Europe… somewhere in Asia or Brazil. So lots of tourists and lots of places to eat, stay and shop.
The Lumiares – Boutique Hotel & Spa is a beautiful 5 star establishment conveniently situated in the Bairro Alto area of Lisbon. It’s actually in the heart of this shopping area and very close to public transport in case you’d like to take one of the famous cable cars to go around town. Here below you have also my YouTube video to better visualize this beautiful hotel.
Moreover, it’s just 15 minutes from the seaside and 10 minutes to Pink Street.
It’s a modern mix of apartments and studios in a contemporain design, but with luxuriant decor here and there. I was particularly amazed by the hallways. One more beautiful than the other.
My room was a studio. Quite spacious and clean. It featured a fully equipped kitchen in case you need to cook for yourself during the stay ( I only ate outside as Portugal is renamed for its fantastic cuisine).

The bed was super comfy and it was also nice to have a little view of the main street. Also keep in mind that the hotel has two entrances. One from the main street and the other is located via a small street on the opposite site. I didn’t know that and because I was so sleepy the first day, we accidentally walked passed the main entrance and went to the other one 🙂 .
The boutique hotel features as well a Spa (with sauna) and Gym.
The staff is super nice and helpful and don’t hesitate to ask them for recommendations what to visit and where to eat.
Speaking of eating, the hotel has also its own restaurant with a splendid rooftop view. Of course, you don’t need to be a hotel guest to have a drink or something to eat there. I would totally recommended visiting the Lumi Rooftop Bar& Restaurant even as an attraction point. Why? Imagine the sunshine and you sipping one of their amazing cocktails while enjoying the city view from the 5th floor 🙂 . Sounds pretty awesome, huh?
Now the food at the restaurant is AMAZING. I enjoyed every bite and as you well know I’m soooo picky with my food and I don’t eat just everything. Definitely extra points for the chef and obviously the wine was fantastic as well.
I took the cauliflower soup ( it was the soup of the day), the steak & fat chips as the main dish and as dessert, we indulged ourselves with a shared cheese plate from the local areas.
I know my « Restaurants around the world » section is coming a bit too late, but I’m definitely adding their restaurant as well as a recommended posh place. As you can imagine, I will only add restaurants with a classy setting, excellent service and to-die-for food. And yes, I need to get started on that yesterday 🙂 .
Anyway, this was my review of the hotel.I hope it will be helpful for you in case you’re visiting Lisbon and by all means, if you have a question, don’t hesitate to email me or leave a comment and I’ll get back to you asap.
Thank you for passing by the blog. It’s always a pleasure sharing with you my travels and I’ll be back with a little blogpost 100% concentrated on Lisbon and the proximity areas.
Have a great day and safe travels !
Kisses,
R.
