Hope your week is going well. This article isnât your usual OOTD, but it is surely one that was very demanded. Since a lot of people have been asking me throughout the years what am I using to do my make-up ( tool wise). I know there are a lot of brushes and make-up sponges out there and I know that a lot of them are good, but my personal favorite brand will remain Real Techniques ! I have been using their brushes and sponges for years now and it never let me down.
I also like Sigma, of course, but Real Techniques has my heart for years now.
Of course, you can find their brand available at Notino! And they even have a couple of brushes that I donât have and that Iâm super interested in discovering ( theyâre already on my wish-list ) !
But for now, letâs have a look on the brushes that I do have and that I have been using for years now â
I started out with the brushes that you absolutely need for setting your foundation, powder ⌠in other words, the Original Collection Base ! As you can see, I have about 4 brushes from this collection, but these are enough for my amateur needs. Iâm not a professional make-up artist; I like playing with make-up, making myself look pretty and all, but that would be it. I didnât do any make-up courses or anything else, I just learned along the way and I can assure you that with the right brushes and make-up, you can have an amazing result, as if it would be professional. đ
Now I know that two of them are missing from the photo .. I wonder where they are hiding in my room? Hum⌠Anyway, the EYES collection suits all your needs for a perfect eye make-up â the brush that I use the most is the Base Shadow Brush ( the biggest one in the picture), for applying make-up. I know I can go very pro and use all the others every time I do my make-up, but that baby applies so nice your eye-shadow that I donât feel using anything else. đ
The Original Collection Finish aka my latest brush collection added to my set, is perfect for finishing your make-up â applying your finishing powder, highlighter, sculpting ⌠I think this would be in all my favorite set of brushes in whole as these are the ones that I use the most ( like each time I apply make-up, even the 5-minute make-up !).
And last but not least â make-up sponges ! These came afterwards, once the make-up sponges hit the market, in the Real Techniques âworldâ it was very short after the brushes because they immediately saw the potential of these tools. I had a red-pink one at the beginning and the yellow one ( the Miracle Complexion Sponge ), which was a big discovery for me at the time. Now, I have added to the family the whole Original Collection featuring this popular make-up sponge that I have been using for years now.
Iâm very curious about the other 2 sponges, but Iâm sure theyâre super cool as well !
