L’Eau d’Issey Pure Shade of Flower

Hello everyone,

I’m now live from Brisbane and since I have a spare moment ( of about 9h40 lol), I was thinking that I should share with you something super nice. In between the new perfumes available at Notino, you can now find Issey Miyake’s L’Eau d’Issey Pure Shade of Flower !

I was lucky enough to test it out and I must say, if you are a flowery scent lover, this perfume is definitely for you !

I can only wish I could send you the scent through these lovely pictures I shot:

A little side note about Issey Miyake – he’s a Japanese fashion designer that was actually born in the controverse city of Hiroshima. He became famous in the perfume industry because of the famous L’Eau d’Issey that probably everybody knows. I also had it and I was amazed; it’s how I also discovered the designer too actually ( to my shame).

That perfume was launched in 1992. I probably discovered it like 12 years ago I think.

But today it’s about L’Eau d’Issey Pure Shade of Flower – a perfume with floral notes, but also fruity, musky, fresh spicy and citrus.

The perfumer behind this splendid scent is Aurelien Guichard. The top notes are lemon, black currant and rose; the middle notes are raspberry bloom, hibiscus and freesia and the base notes are sandalwood and white musk.

Sounds lovely, right?

I really like the design of the bottle too. It’s quite lovely and in the same accents that Issey Miyake has used us.

For me, it’s more of a day perfume, maybe one that goes best for the Spring/Summer season. I usually wear floral scents during these seasons.

Another thing that is interesting to know is that Notino has a great selection of new perfumes that are just waiting for you to be discovered.

I hope you enjoyed this little article and I hope to be back with more soon 🙂
