Hyatt Regency Amsterdam

Hello everyone,

And how did your wdeek started ?

I cannot believe that Christmas is two weeks from now and with it, the end of the year. How did 2023 end so quickly ?

I'm sure you all have plans for the holidays, but in case you're looking for a last minute getaway that is also dog friendly, well, I would definitely recommend Amsterdam. It's closeby, just a 3h trip ( max) and you're in Holland's capital. I really like this city, it's super clean, the people are nice and you have so many beautiful places to visit.

And if you're looking for a lovely hotel, then I'd recommend Hyatt Regency Amsterdam.

The location is great, being nearby the city center, the hotel itself if super nice and it is also dog friendly.

Considering I do leave home a lot for my trips, when I have the opportunity to take my little Willy, I don't hesitate. My last trip in Madrid with him was so nice that I wanted to take him with me to Amsterdam as well. And I did a great choice because he really enjoyed himself.

The design of the hotel is very lovely and it has been also awarded for its sustainable 'living' decor. Hyatt Regency Amsterdam offers botanical inspired guestrooms that are spacious and clean. Our room featured a walk-in shower, a big comfy bed and a beautiful view of the canal. Really enjoyed it !

The hotel itself is quite big and it features some very nice and relaxing public spaces, a private parking, a bar where you can also eat and also a great restaurant that holds indonisian cuisine.

Mama Makan is the name of the restaurant and we also had the opportunity to try it. I was very excited as we'll be soon leaving for Bali, so I managed to get a small preview of the food there.

The menu features dishes to share, so we went for the 'Rijsttafel ' (rice table), so a mix of 13 bowls in different flavours, from very spicy to less spicy, with a vegetarian option in case you don't eat meat. It was very good and I was also pleased of the way the present the food, on a wooden mini-table, super cute.

The restaurant itself is also where you'll have your breakfast and I was very happy to learn that your dog can join at any time. The breakfast has a variaty of options to meet all the guests' desires. I'm not a picky person, so I always have basically the same thing in each hotel, but I was surprised to see how many breakfast choices one has here at Hyatt Regency Amsterdam.

I was very happy with my stay at this hotel and if you're planning to go, but still have some doubts/ questions, don't hesitate to shoot me an email, I'd be happy to help !

Until then, I wish you a fab week !

Kisses,
