Cappadocia had always been on my bucket list, but nothing could have prepared me for the way Türkiye would capture my heart yet again. From the vibrant streets of Istanbul to the surreal landscapes of Cappadocia, this trip was a perfect blend of history, beauty, and unforgettable experiences. If you're planning your own adventure, here's how to make the most of two of Türkiye's most iconic destinations.

First Stop: Istanbul, the City of Two Continents
Day 1: First Impressions We landed in Istanbul on May 28th and were welcomed by the dynamic rhythm of the city. After checking in to the hotel, we gathered for our first dinner at Muutto Galataport, a stylish spot by the water with a modern Anatolian touch. It set the tone perfectly: refined, flavorful, and full of stories.
Day 2: Istanbul to Cappadocia – City to Sky The day began with a leisurely walk through Karaköy, one of Istanbul’s coolest districts, where we explored cozy streets, modern boutiques, and the lively Galataport area. After lunch, we headed to the airport for a short flight to Nevşehir. That evening, we dined at Areni Restaurant, an elegant local favorite.
Day 3: Hot Air Balloons and Underground Cities We woke up before dawn for what would become one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life: a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the fairytale landscape of Cappadocia. It was surreal to float silently above ancient valleys and volcanic rock formations.

Later, we visited Kaymaklı Underground City, a popular Instagram spot: Galeri Îkman and even went horseback riding through the rugged terrain.

We ended the day with dinner at Millocal, a restaurant celebrating modern Anatolian cuisine.
Day 4: Cultural Immersion and Culinary Delights Our day started with visits to Göreme Open Air Museum, Paşabağ Valley, and the picturesque village of Mustafapaşa. Lunch turned into a delightful cooking workshop at Aravan Evi, where we learned the secrets of traditional Turkish dishes. In the afternoon, we enjoyed a pottery session at Kybele Ceramics followed by a wine tasting at Gülor Wine Cave.

The evening concluded with a magical dinner at Revithia Restaurant, where an 8-course wine pairing menu took us on a sensory journey through Anatolia.
Day 5: Farewell to the Fairy Tale After a final breakfast at the hotel, we transferred to the airport, hearts full and cameras brimming with moments.
Final Thoughts Türkiye is a destination that blends ancient history, cultural richness, and natural wonder. From sipping tea in Karaköy to floating over Cappadocia at sunrise, every moment felt timeless.
And that, after all, is what travel should be.
