Hope your week is going well.
In between two rainfalls, I thought I should catch up on my blog a bit and this time I wanted to give you a brief history lesson on one of the most famous and respected beauty brands that every existed, namely Chanel. You all may know Chanel from the fashion world and yes, it’s difficult to forget that one bag that everybody is craving.
But Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel wasn’t just a simple designer, no, her ideals and goals were much bigger than one would expect.
1921, Paris. Coco was picking out the 5th sample of her future perfume, Chanel no 5 (yup, she went with a simple name that had a meaning at the same time).
By 1924, Coco was going global with her cosmetics line and expanded to skincare in 1929.
Chanel no 5 became the most popular perfume ever and it was a booming hit in the 50s, wore all around the world by celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe.
Even though this perfume is loved by so many people, my ultimate favorite is Chanel Mademoiselle. Luckily, Notino also holds this amazing brand ( aside many others) so you can imagine how happy I was to find it there.
I also had the chance to try out some new products from Chanel such as the foundation Le Teint Ultra or the bronzer Chanel Les Beiges.
I knew it from a shooting that I did awhile back and the make-up artist had it. Definitely a bronzer blush that I would recommend as it stays on so long.
The Rouge Allure Velvet is quite nice, not drying the lips and it stays on pretty well.
