Taking care of your smile

Hello everyone,

I hope your week is going well. I'm on the verge of planning everything for SS21 ( which I'm super happy btw and I can't wait to share with you all my ideas so stay tuned!).

I'm also going to do a full check-up next week considering I had the virus. I just want to make sure everything is A-OK ! I care a lot for my health and besides going to the doctor, I have to pay a visit to the dentist as well. Taking care of your teeth now will only bring you good when you'll get older. We only have one body and one set of teeth for that matter, so taking care of it is very important.

Besides going to the dentist, I also advise having a good oral hygiene. This needs a daily basis attention - brushing your teeth, taking care of your gums, being careful what you eat... floss .. things like these are super important to have a beautiful smile.

I thought I'd share with you my day-to-day routine so you can see how I take care of my teeth !

First off, you have to pick a great toothbrush - I have an electric one from Phillips for some years now. I just change the heads from time to time. I found a set at Notino ( can also be a nice gift idea in case you'd like to give your significant other something cool and useful 😉)

The Philips Sonicare 4300 Protective Clean HX6800/35 - is designed to brush your teeth thoroughly, but also gently. It uses sonic technology that injects liquid into interdental spaces and reliably removes dental plaque with 62,000 brushing strokes per minute - if that's not impressive, I don't know what is !

Plus, it's very fashionable and you also get two traveling pouches.

You can find it at Notino, alongside other Philipps products for oral hygiene.

Of course, the next step is having a good toothpaste ! I, for one, am in love with the brand Colgate - I have always loved their products and it's a brand I've been using for many years now. I'm not saying other brands are bad, it's just that I like this one :)

They have a lot of ranges to choose from and above all, I really like the fresh feeling I have after using their toothpastes. Ideally, you should brush your teeth after each meal.

Sadly I don't have time for that or I forget... or I'm not at home, so I'm sticking to brushing my teeth in the morning and evening.

For flossing, we always have Oral-B 's Premium floss.

It's a very good dental floss, that features a minty sensation every time you use it. Flossing is very important to keep pieces of food out of your teeth ( the ones that a toothbrush cannot remove), so that you stay away from cavities. Also, this one right here has a waxy thread so you won't have any problems with your gums. It's completely safe to use :)

And of course, no oral hygiene routine is complete without a mouthwash. Using a mouthwash is good for whitening your teeth, removing plaque and fighting gum disease.

My personal favorite is Listerine. We have been using this ever since we came to Belgium 11 years ago. It's a habit I picked up from my mom as she uses it as well.

The Listerine Total Care 6 in 1 Complete Teeth Protection Mouthwash strengthens teeth, works as cavity prevention, helps restore enamel, deep cleanses teeth and interdental spaces, and invigorates breath.

It's a must have ! Of course, you can find more ranges at Notino as they hold the Listerine brand.

So this was it ! This is my personal oral hygiene routine and you have to take into consideration also going to the dentist at least once per year for a check up !

I hope you enjoyed my article and learnt something new here today :)

Wishing you all a great week ahead xo

Kisses,
