Good evening everyone,
I must say, it has been awhile since I last posted something. Considering I’ve been travelling a country that is quite limited in Internet connexion, I do hope you’ll find it in your hearts to forgive my absence here on the blog.
As you can imagine, I have a lot of storytelling about Namibia and its landscapes, adventures and so much more, but I wanted to start the new year on a more delicious note – finally having some time to write about a lovely soirée I spent back in November, while I was invited to test out a menu done by a private chef.
Now this private chef is more than your usual cook, no, this private chef is an artist in both the kitchen and when it comes to create real art ( like paintings/photographes in this case). And of course, the private chef has a name – ÔDEWA – a name that was a tad difficult to learn, but one that I won’t forget very soon. The reason ? Her cooking !
Ôdewa invited us into her world.. into her amazing world where art meets food.
As you all know, I’m a very pretentious eater and not by mind, but that my body dictates me what to eat. And I must say, I ate everything Ôdewa served that evening. But let’s do a recap, shall we?
Everything was soooo good… I still think about each and every plate that I had because the ingredients worked so well together, making it an explosion of taste ( currently drooling as I write ) .
For a 4 course meal ( wine included), the price is 100€ per person. She is more available for doing it at your place or in at a venue; occasionally she does organise it at her place. The price also includes an artistic dish performance while a musician is playing ( yes, we had our own pianist during that evening).
Even the table setting was splendid and well thought…
